Optimism in the Real Estate Market
July 9th, 2007 Posted in MarylandThe National Association of Home Builders Opportunity Index showed that homes were more affordable in the first quarter of 2007 than the same quarter the previous year. On July 5th Freddie Mac reported that the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage dipped to an average of 6.63 percent, the lowest average since early June.The National Association of Realtors reported that pending home sales rose 3.8 percent in the Northeast in May.According to the Institute for Supply Management, its index recorded the 68th consecutive month of growth for the overall economy and the fifth consecutive month for manufacturing.
